Turbulence question for pilots

This is more of a curiosity on how pilots try to avoid it. I know planes won’t go down because of turbulence but my few questions are

  1. Is there a weather system that tells you of possible turbulence in route?

  2. Do you tend to try to avoid them or depends on how dangerous (bad) it might be?

  3. If a tool doesn’t exist. Is it more on “first come first serve” where the first crew to experience it will inform the rest so the rest can try to avoid it themselves?

  4. Has severe turbulence ever happened on a clear beautiful day or those if have happened are rare and more with thunderstorm/clouds etc?

Thanks for the reply on this info.
