Panic attacks and “feeling stuck” when in the air

Hi guys. I just recently found this group, so this is my first post in here and I’m hoping you guys are able to give me some guidance/support. I have a terrible fear of flying and my anxiety causes me to throw up in the bathroom of the airport before every flight. Mostly because I’m terrified of having a panic attack in the air and not being able to escape. I’ve had panic attacks on many flights and it’s the worst feeling in the world. When I have a panic attack, the sound of the plane intensifies and everything is loud, I’m trapped. It’s terrible. Therefore, every bump of turbulence scares me because I don’t want it to trigger a panic attack. I also hate take off because the bumpiness, dropping of stomach, and just generally knowing I’m stuck in the air, always causes a panic attack. Any tips, tricks, shared feelings, support, or advice would be greatly appreciated. I fly Friday and I’m so nervous. I’m scared to take medicine because a lot of meds that have a “sleepy effect” make me feel high and have triggered panic attacks for me in the past…does anyone get this?
