Everyone should play NFL *PLAYOFF* Fantasy Football
The fantasy football season ISN’T over! You can still keep the fantasy season going with the NFL playoffs. It’s a great chance to invest in players that you maybe missed out on during the regular season and root for on the road to the Super Bowl. If you’ve never played before, reach out to your home or main league today and get the ball rolling!
There are plenty of different ways to play. If you have any ideas of your own, please share! These two are my favorite and the most common:
“One and Done” Weekly Lineups - Submit new lineups to commissioner each week - Once you’ve used a player, they can’t be used again throughout the playoffs - Benefits to “saving” players on teams you believe will go to Championship Game and/or Super Bowl, but can win with heavy hitting studs in lineups early on, too - NO LIMIT to how many managers can participate since multiple managers will have similar players in their lineup each week - Team with the most total points from Wild Card, Divisional, Conf. Championships, and Super Bowl wins - Weekly management of lineups - Strategic concepts include, but not limited to, playing all NFC QBs to “save” whichever AFC QB makes the Super Bowl, or vice versa
NFL Playoff Draft - Drafting teams before playoffs begin this weekend - Limited number of managers can participate (6-10 is best) - Snake or auction draft players on NFL playoff teams - Once that player is out of the playoffs, they’re obviously unavailable to your team…you WILL have holes in your lineup depending on depth and league size - Team with the most total points from Wild Card, Divisional, Conf. Championships, and Super Bowl wins - Strategic concepts include, but not limited to, deciding whether or not to draft players on #1 seed teams as they will not be available at the start of playoffs
You can run your leagues offline (I’ve done so on an Excel spreadsheet before) but the Fantrax app makes it much easier with NFL Playoff league formats already set up. It’s also FREE to download.
