2025 draft positions of need
Linebacker: Our defense was lackluster and although Elliss was great, he was more like an edge rusher. Plus we will probably let Lorenzo Carter and Nate Landman walk in free agency which is probably for the best since they both weren't great this year. Also, Troy Andersen has struggled a lot with injuries. I could see us taking a Linebacker with our first pick.
Cornerback: Besides A.J. Terrell, our Cornerbacks really struggled this year and it has been made clear that we need changes to our Cornerback room. Dee Alford is almost certainly not coming back since he really underperformed this year. I could also see us letting Mike Hughes go, he did a little better than Alford but I still think substantial changes need to be made.
Center: I really think we might need to get a Center in this year's draft. My top prospect would be UGA's Jared Wilson. Both of our Centers will be free agents this offseason. Neuzil, our backup, also had some starts in place of Dalman, and while he was decent, he is also more backup tier in my opinion. THen we have Drew Dalman, I really wasn't that impressed with him, and I could see us making him an offer, but not going the extra mile to retain him. Maybe we keep one of those two and draft a Center with a late round pick, and hopefully we will do trade backs to accumulate more draft picks.
Offensive Tackle: It's simple, Jake Matthews is turning 33 this offseason and Kaleb McGary is turning 30 as well. Our Offensive Tackles are aging. I would really like to see us draft an Offensive Tackle this year with a mid round pick. I even feel like we could draft someone who could even compete with McGary for his starting spot. We could also use one to sit for a season to develop, then take over as a starter.
Tight End: I liked the Charlie Woerner addition, but obviously Kyle Pitts has really disappointed us. I would even welcome the idea of trading him for extra picks in this year's draft, especially if we can't trade Kirk. Our other TIght End on the roster is Ross Dwelley and he was just "meh" in my opinion, and he's not getting any younger.
Edge: Matthew Judon is most likely gone and overall we need more sacks. We might also lose depth as James Smith-Williams will be a free agent. We will get Bralen Trice back from his injury but even still, we might end up a little thin at Defensive End and need to use a draft pick on one.
Safety: This will really become a need if Justin Simmons doesn't return and it's also looking like Richie Grant could possibly be on his way out.
Defensive Tackle: Kentavius Street, Ta'Quon Graham, and Eddie Goldman will be free agents this offseason, and although we do have Ruke, it might be smart to draft a DT, however it all depends on free agency and what happens.
