Jimmy lake has got to go/End of season remarks
The defense today just looked like nothing, to be honest. There was barely any fight in them and you have Judon trying to cover running backs on deep routes? When has that ever worked out? Ever. Jimmy's been using Judon as a cover guy on some plays all season and it has never worked out once. Hopefully in the offseason, we'll see a vast revamp of the front office (I'm coping but oh well). Jimmy's got to go, but of course, there's more to that.
This season has lots of things to look forward to, the number one being Penix the man himself. He threw for over 300 yards today, with London almost reaching 200 at the time of this post, and Bijan also almost reaching 200 yards rushing at the time of this post. For a rookie in his third game, Penix does have some things to work on, like overthrowing up high but with a whole offseason to work with the 1s and develop chemistry, the only way to go up from here is up. Plus we'll be getting Rondale Moore back, another weapon on the offense for Penix to build chemistry with.
We'll need Koo badly next season to help with those field goals, and I expect Patterson to be let go in the offseason. His leg is not just up to the NFL level. Hopefully in the draft, we can beef up that defense because that's been our weak spot so far this season. Our offense has kept us in games, but the defense needs to be able to close them, and we haven't been doing that. We just need more speed and power, particularly that defensive line.
Rise up falcons. What a season this one has been.
