Mud flaps attached trim

I have 2020 f150 xlt and the mud flaps are attached to the trim piece that goes around wheel well. Live in. Northern Ontario and snow builds up and pops clips holding mudd flap in place . This in turn starts to pull of trim. Amy one find this and come up with a solution besides fanatical wheel well cleaning? Thanks
