Bought a house in home country
Well this has been a very big emotionally driven decision for me to finally have bought a house in my home country. Here's my story:-
I moved from India to the UK 7 years ago and have a good life here as far as work is concerned. Other than that its the similar humdrum of a monotonous predictable life "living for the weekends" and "occasional vacations"
I have tried a lot to imagine myself having a future here but I have to admit I don't belong here. I miss the sense of community back home, the noise, weather and the most amazing food in the world. Sadly India is not without its own issues and it won't make sense to move back because it will be a worse situation in terms of job and quality of life.
Partner and I don't plan to have kids so we have decided to invest back in home country so we have some roots laid down and can use the home as a retirement plan. We visit India every year but might do so more frequently as we age. So I guess we just want the best of both worlds.
I think sometimes you just know where you are meant to be!
