Since when do JWs believe in dinosaurs?

Not sure if I’m remembering it incorrectly, but I remember getting in a ton of trouble for asking about dinosaurs and why they weren’t mentioned in the bible as a kid. When we just looked it up now, it says that God created the dinosaurs (and there’s also a funny little bit about how dinosaurs appeared “suddenly and randomly” which somehow proves that only God could be responsible, not evolution). Is this a new thing?

Side note: my partner is a palaeontologist and reading the JW.org stance on this almost gave him a stroke 😂
