It's still abuse, just faded
With all the Gypsy Rose Blanchard euphoria since she got out of prison, I re-watched her TV series "The Act" and it got me thinking. If she was never conscious of her mom's mental illness maybe she still could be happy in that life. But her mother got distracted and Gypsy made it out. Just like a cult, the JW works the same way. If we weren't able to wake up maybe we would be "in the truth, the God's people" and be happy about our life. But we had a chance to look through the organization, and we decided to leave. I'm not saying that this is comparable but it works in both cases. My point is, maybe the JW says that they're nice to everyone and that all members are happy, but it's an abuse case. It doesn't matter if you live a happy life when you're being a cult victim. Being okay with the abuse you suffer doesn't mean it's right.
