Hola, new super beginner. Any experience from fellow dyslexics?

Hello All,

Brand new super beginner here. 3 hours logged so far.

Im interested in learning Spanish as my brother moved to the states and married a lovely lady with Mexican family. They all speak great English, but seems unfair that they are doing all the work. I'm in the uk so hardly see them but would be nice if i could at least follow along when i do.

i did a little Duolingo but have heard very mixed things about it. so im trying DS which has much more positive reviews ect.

So im doing the super beginner videos and trying to not translate in my head when i know a word, trying not to repeat or memorise a word when i recognise it. normal stuff im sure.

Does anyone know if being dyslexic will effect the learning? im assuming i might just need more time / input than most people but wonder if any other dyslexics have done the DS programme and how they found it?

look forward to reading more posts here. everyone seems very nice and supportive of each other.
