Which character should I play to assist with Winona?

I used to play this game around 3-4 years ago really often but have since had quite a big break, I am (fairly) accustomed to the new skill trees and some of the new content but I want to play with my friend who is well, playing Winona. Who would be a good pick for me to assist them?
