My Dog Is Hyper-Fixated On My New Kitten

So we got a new kitten today and my dog understandably is intrigued. We already have another cat that is older than my dog and he was the first pet we got. I get that it takes time and you have to be slow with introduction but she’s creeping me out. She will stare at the kitten without blinking or breaking gaze, ignore food to focus on it (she’s obsessed with food in an unhealthy way, she’s not fat just obsessed), she drools with her mouth open when she’s staring, and she wines. What is happening here?? She never has acted like this before is this because it’s just new, should we keep her away longer, idk what to do. The other cat doesn’t care at all but my dogs behaviour is concerning me. Is there anything I should know or do?
