Insulin frozen in hotel refrigerator!

I spent the last two weeks of last year in Greece, spending the final three days at a hotel in Athens.
As I always do before booking, I made sure the room was equipped with a refrigerator to store my insulin supply. Well, there was a fridge, but it was broken, and as a result, my insulin froze overnight and became unusable! The reception apologized and had the fridge repaired, but they didn’t provide any further assistance.

Luckily, I had enough insulin in my bag for the remaining days, but if this had happened at the beginning of my trip, it would have been a major problem!

I’m completely unfamiliar with this topic: in situations where damage is caused by poor room maintenance, is the hotel obliged to provide assistance to guests?"
