Problems finding a devops job

I lost my job just a few months ago as a software engineer and I've been struggling to find a job as a devops engineer. Looking at many job postings, hiring managers are mainly looking for people skilled with AWS and Kubernetes, along with a host of other tools to monitor and collect logs. However, my background is more in the build area like Maven and to a lesser extent Gradle and Makefile. I also worked with Jenkins pipelines, docker and installers. I've been taking several LinkedIn courses in various areas and the latest class I'm taking is on Python functional programming which I'm enjoying. Most of the installer work that I did involved Java/Bash/Batch with a tiny sprinkling of Python. I'd like to find a job that involves Jenkins pipelines, docker and Python but I don't know if I want to do AWS and Kubernetes. I think my basic problem is that I don't have experience deploying and monitoring applications in the cloud. Based on my recent courses, I feel like I could grow in proficiency with Python, but it will take some time to ramp up knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes.
