To people who really liked DI1

Does DI2 just feel like crap to you? Animations are slow and hits don’t seem to actually “connect” the same way they did in DI1. Just picked up 2 on sale because I’ve been going hard on 1, but at this point I’m thinking I’m just gonna accept that 1 is more my style.

Am I missing something?
