Getting really tired of people judging my parenting by the job I have.
When my first was born I was a cop on a certain unit. Everyone thought I was really strict at home.
When we were trying for the second I was contracted out to the military to instruct. People assumed even more that I was into rules at home, had the kiddo on a tight leash.
Now I run a disability service, people assume that I am a permissive parent and behavioural training.
I'm not even going to touch what people think because I'm a brown guy with a mohawk and tattoos.
I've never been any of those things. I'm just a normal parent and the house is full of fun and music with normal boundaries and parenting.
Do any of you get this sort of assumption made?
