Intelligence vs Hunting career

Looking for the advice and opinions of the wonderful brains-trust that is /r/cybersecurity.

I’m currently an analyst, and am in the incredibly fortunate position of being offered a role internally of either a threat hunter or a CTI specialist. The company wants to build each program up from basically scratch, and I can choose to lead one.

So if you had to choose to start a career down one of those paths now, where would you go?

One concern I have is that CTI might be too niche for most companies, and I may struggle to get a job after this one if I need to. The TH one seems like the 'safer' of the two, as more companies would likely need that skillset combined with the usual IR that comes with it.
