Squeaky clover hook

I am currently making a half double crochet square cardigan and I am using a 5.00mm clover hook. My tension doesn’t seem too tight but I may be wrong. My hook is so squeaky and I know it can be worse with acrylic yarn, which I’m using. But it’s just sad that the hook is $10 and it’s squeaking on me! 😞 I have started using Susan bates metallic inline hooks so I ordered one to hopefully eliminate the squeak. Does anyone else have this problem?
