Do you think it’s acceptable if I failed 3 subjects?

This is my first year in college, I had 11 subjects in this semester and I happened to fail 3 of them. I don’t know how to feel about this. I'm certainly not proud but my parents said it’s okay, though I’m stricter than them.

Edit: I only failed in 2, because today I passed what I thought was impossible!!!!
