Coldplay experience 25th Ahmedabad. It was perfect yet not

The whole concert was a surreal experience.

But I felt that Ahmedabad is not yet ready for such huge concerts or may be they could have planned it better. Is it just me?

To start: Our H-otel denied our reservation after we reached the place even after confirming multiple times over phone. We had to travel to the other side of the city and share a r-oom with my friends.

The travel to the concert and then getting into the stadium was smooth. Did not face any issue, it was like a typical concert experience.

The show, food, water everything was perfect. Had an experience of our lifetime watching the band perform.

The concert ended and this is when our horrors started. It took us more than an hour to get out of the stadium. We were exiting from Gate 2 and it was moving at a snails pace. The main issue was that the pathway to exit is not of constant size sometimes it widens and sometimes it gets narrower leading to chaos. But still it was fine, expected from a large crowd (maybe? i have low hopes from our Infra anyway). The band collection was also horrible. The organizers were on the left side for collection when there were more than rows of people walking. People were throwing their bands at the organizers (shame on us). The bands even hit few people walking.

There were holes dug out for plants in between. I have seen many people falling because everyone was so close they couldn't see the ground.

I don't know from where few people got neon jackets. They were acting as if they were emergency responders and were pushing everyone. Theses guys were followed by a whole train of freeloaders.

The only good part of the horrendous walk was that there was a kid on top of a building and he was waving at the crowd and the whole crowd waved him back. It was so heartwarming to watch. Does anyone have a video of it?

Once we entered the main road it was pure chaos. There was stampede like situation at the metro entry. For such a huge crowd did they forget planning queues to the metro? Did not feel so packed even in Tirupati Balaji darshan.

Even in the station to enter the train, people have no civic sense. There was enough place for everyone and it was not like there is huge crowd out side the train yet everyone was pushing each other without sense (people to be blamed here, considering educated folks coming to the concert did not expect this lack of civility)

Coldplay was still a one-of-a kind experience for me but it could have been much better if people had a little civic sense. Is it too much to ask?

Let's be better for our next concerts.
