Update: HE’S ON HIS WAY HOME WITH US!
We don’t have a name picked out for this baby yet (suggestions welcome), but if you saw my post from last week—-we’ve successfully picked up Kewpie’s new baby brother from the owner! I am so relieved to finally have him. He’s very frightened of hands and I got a nice bite during the transfer into my carrier, but he’s got a nice clean spacious cage with toys and perches waiting for him at home for his new journey with us. I focused on safety and have some platforms for easy level access until his tail and wings grow back. He will not be clipped in his new home, he’ll be going to the vet soon, and we’ll be working on a pellet/veggie-based diet with him. I feel like the white on his wings looks a bit yellow-tinged, so I’m concerned for his liver. Anyone with a trained eye think so, too? I welcome any thoughts and advice on our new addition! Thank you all for your previous advice on last week’s post about him.
