For each (main) character, what season do you believe they peaked storyline wise?

From a story telling perspective, what season would you say was the best for Miguel, Robby, Sam, Tory, & Hawk (Edit) Kreese, Silver, Johnny, & Daniel

Miguel: In my opinion, I believe his season 3 arc was the most compelling he’s ever been. Since then he’s just been there and while he’s still cool, his storylines haven’t had the substance it’s used to have. He was fighting for his life. His motivations felt more interning than just applying to some college

Robby: It’s a toss up between season 3 & 4 for me. Season 3 broke Robby down the right way as opposed to how they’re doing it in season 6. Things just kept getting worse for him until he said “f*ck it” and gave in to the darkness.

In season 4 he wasn’t fully evil or anything but he was still not taking any bull. The mentorship role they gave him is what made him shine too.

Hawk: I’d say also season 3. He took over as king cobra and was sipping the kool-aid Kreese was giving him. He was staring to become really dangerous if they didn’t come to his senses. In S4 he didn’t do much until it was time for the AVT. They had an open lay up from season 4 to have an amazing opportunity for his character to great in season 5 but they just sold it. His win in season 4 meant nothing, and we don’t even talk about season 6…so it’s definitely season 3 imo.

Sam: Also a toss up between season 3 & 4. Season 3 with her struggling with her PTSD and in season 4, her finding her own way was really interesting to watch for me. She was becoming her own person and character than being used only someone’s girlfriend.

Tory: Season 5 for sure. That’s when she started to feel like an actual person than just a crazy Saturday morning cartoon villain. Trying to take down Cobra Kai from the inside and her relationship with Devon (even if it was copy & paste of Robby and Kenny). I actually cared about her and wanted her to succeed, find some sort of happiness

Kreese: Definitely season 3. We learn more about his backstory with young Kreese and with his older self we see how dangerous he can really be. This is when he felt the most intimidating in my opinion. Opposite of Tory, sadly Kreese has delved into more of Saturday morning cartoon villain since season 4.

Silver: Season 5. That was his season as a full fledged character and villain so we got to have more of him opposed to season 4.

Johnny: Season 2. This is where he felt the most mature to me. He instantly pointed out and tried to correct Hawk & Miguel’s actions at the tournament. Was actually trying to be there for Robby. He was evolving, trying to propel a positive legacy for Cobra Kai.

Daniel: I’ll say season 5. Getting to see Daniel deal with Terry, while everyone else is blind to who really is was interesting to see. How much Daniel’s trauma kept evoking him to spiral down further until he pretty much was defeated. Only to be brought back in by the important people in his life
