Warrior vs Priest
Hey, i started playing on the classic anniversary servers about a month ago and have switched mains three times.. I started as a rogue as I've never really played one before but lost interest at 25 or so. I then rolled as a priest which I have played a lot of in vanilla to wotlk where I quit.
For some reason around level 26 I decided I wanted to try warrior which I've never played before at all. I noticed a lot of people asking for tanks in the cities and every dungeon group I joined needed a warrior. So here I am today at level 27 as a warrior and wondering if I should play either the priest or warrior.
I will be able to raid a few nights a week most likely but I don't plan on being hardcore about it because I do have young kids and such blah, blah, blah.
Anywho I imagine it's easier to play a healer and get into raids.. it used to be pretty quick finding a group as a healer for 5 man's.. I imagine this is still the same. Problem is I was having fun tanking as it's new but it seems like in the end I'll need to play a dps in raids? So that means I'll need both tanking gear and dps gear?
So the main question i have here is which would be better for playing half casually? I know warriors repair bill is significantly higher than a priests.. I mean I'll have time to farm for gold and such but I probably can't do some of the crazy these I see people talking about here, like farming materials for 8 hours for a every raid.
Should I main my priest to 60 and just play my tank as an alt with 5man asperations?
I only ask here because I'm sure people have a better sense of how it all works these days than a guy who hasn't played in 13 or 15 years.
I also like to pvp and have enjoyed healing as a healer more than dps in the past. I guess I could just roll a paladin as I'm playing alliance this time around. They are generally pretty good 5man tanks? Great pvp healers and heal in raids?
Ok I'll stop now, thanks for any answers/insight on my predicament.
