God of Fire Carlito

I got this in an Angels Share sampler from Tampa Sweethearts. Didn’t know that much about it when I got it. I think this is the double corona. Before I lit the cigar I got this funky fermented smell I get from an Opus X. I wouldn’t be surprised if the filler is very similar. A casa Fuente is supposed to be an Opus with a Cameroon wrapper. This one smokes more like I’d imagine an Opus with a Cameroon wrapper should smoke. The Casa has stronger flavors to me. This one is more smooth and subdued. It starts with an opus like earthiness and eventually develops more nuttiness and rustic flavors that remind me of the DC Eye of the shark. Not too much sweetness with some baking spice. It’s a good cigar but I’m not sure I’d seek it out again, especially given the price.
