Good cigar for first time smoker?

My friend, who hasn’t really smoked anything before whether it be cigarettes, weed or anything is interested in trying some nicer cigars. I’m also just getting into cigars, and I have decided that the Drew Estate Java Mint is what I’m gonna start with, he wants an unflavored cigar though. Any suggestions for him? Preferably around the $10 range and more mild as he’s a smoking virgin. Thank you!
