Meituan Softban?

Hi, Im an American visiting family in Shanghai rn. I used meituan maybe 3-4 times in Beijing, and as soon as I got into Shanghai, I couldn’t connect. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, went through the WeChat app, etc.

In the Meituan app, before I log in I can see the list of restaurants. It prompts me to log in and I can’t see anything (it says my signal is weak).

In WeChat, I can see this list of restaurants, but if I click, it stops working. Very curious if having an english name (even though it’s the name on my passport) is messing things up, and they’re locking me out.

If anyone has experienced something similar, help is greatly appreciated!!
