kids are suddenly allowed in breweries? (among other adult spaces)

for context, my husband and i are craft beer heads and can’t help but notice a seemingly new trend of entitled parents having the audacity to bring their very young children into adult spaces like this and letting their little rats ruin it for the rest of us. ffs the other week we were shocked seeing some dipshit parents hosting a toddler’s birthday party in a BREWERY, and let the kids run wild, and scream (what happened to taking kids to places like chuck e cheese for birthdays, is there something im missing?)

i cannot tell if parents have always been this inconsiderate and unaware of the space they and their children take up, or if this is new? i remember as a small kid, my parents being refused from bars and breweries for bringing me (as it should be). moreover, my husband and i both recall there being consequences from our boomer parents for acting like a little animals, and had the fear of god in us to know better than to not scream or run around. is this not common anymore?

i hate to sound like an old and cranky 24 year old going “ah kids and parents these days/ get off my lawn” type of person, but it genuinely infuriates me that my husband and i can’t even enjoy public, adult spaces in peace. my husband is highly sensitive to high pitch noises, and i have adhd and get overstimulated

i cant help but feel crazy, am i? or has anyone else seen a rise in this?

also, if anyone has tips on what few places remain that are safe for child free adults to exist peacefully, please share 🙂

*edit: im not on this app often, but after scrolling through this sub i realize brewery brats are common. guess its my turn to rant about this and thanks for hearing me out
