Stop signs are just suggestions now

On my way to work today, riding my usual route on my bike I saw 6 cars blow through stop signs. Not rolling stops, not slowing down, just straight up blowing through. I love riding my bike and stopping to yield to traffic only to have an SUV blow past me almost causing an accident.

I get that people are in a hurry, but "beating traffic" isn't a good excuse to rat race down resedential streets blowing every stop sign.

Edit: I get it, you once saw a guy blow a stop sign on a bike and you're upest. That's not what this is about. Cars blowing stop signs at high speeds in resedential areas is a real problem.
