Youâre self-absorbed and always talking about your illness. âIf Youâre Positive and Donât Share: How can you expect people to give you support, if you donât let them know whatâs on?
âď¸TRYING TREATMENTSâď¸ âIf You Try New Treatments: Youâre desperate and wasting time on unproven methods. âIf You Donât Try New Treatments: Youâre not serious about wanting to get better.
âď¸ACCOMMODATIONSâď¸ âIf You Ask for Accommodations: Youâre demanding and emotionally exhausting. âIf You Donât Ask for Accommodations: If you want people to take your condition seriously, you have to ask for what you want.
âď¸HEALTH RECORDSâď¸ âIf You Donât Keep Detailed Records: Youâre wasting your doctorâs time and not taking responsibility for your health. âIf You Meticulously Track Symptoms: Youâre obsessive and focusing too much on being sick.

âď¸TALKING ABOUT DISABILITYâď¸ âIf You Identify as Disabled: Youâre giving up and letting your illness define you. âIf You Donât Identify as Disabled: If you donât advocate for yourself, how can you expect to get the support you actually need?
âď¸LISTENING TO MY BODYâď¸ âIf You Push Yourself: You need to be gentle and listen to your body. âIf You Don't Push Yourself: Your life needs structure, and you can't just lie in bed. Sometimes you have to force yourself to do things.
