Insane HR all day...worried
Hi all, I was diagnosed with CFS in November but had it for about 2 years prior. I've been really trying to pace myself, and after constantly failing and overexerting myself, I decided to get a HR monitor. I chose Visible with the Polar armband.
I've had a particularly stressful week looking after my 9 month old twin boys. Usually I would have two extra days childcare but the childminder is away on holiday. I really tried to be prepared and rest as much as I could, but it's practically impossible with two babies. I overdid it on Tuesday and Wednesday, but on Thursday I rested a lot. Friday I was relieved to wake up still able to function, not bedridden like I usually would be if I do two much two days in a row.
Both yesterday (Friday) and today was very similar in terms of activity levels and symptoms severity, but all day today I've had a really high HR, no matter what I did. Even laying down I couldn't get lower than 100 most of the day. Only the vasalva maneuver got me below 80 for a few minutes, but it shot straight back up. I just don't understand what is happening, as any time before that my HR has been elevated like this, I've had severe symptoms. I would consider my symptoms Mild-Moderate today. If I didn't have the HR monitor, I wouldn't have had any concerns!
Has anyone had anything similar to this happen? Am I about to crash to a whole new low? 😬😭😢
