Tips on getting old storm windows to seal?
My wife and I just purchased our first home (Built 1935). The second floor has had all the windows replaced, but the first floor has older single pane windows with storms. It’s started getting into the low teens at night here, and I can really feel the draft coming off the windows now. The windows don’t really all seem to seat that well, so my first thought was to buy more of the little wing nuts that are holding the windows on and add more of those in each corner? I was also thinking I could add some foam stripping around the entire inside of the storms to create more of a seal?
