Success on your CFAT

I’d like to start out by saying thanks to the people who have been posting about the CFAT and offering advice on study points and what not, passed mine yesterday and scored high enough for my selected trade (Pilot) and moving to the next phase - you are all rockstars!

For those of you writing, one thing that I definitely glazed over that came up a hand full of times is focusing on multiplying and dividing fractions, and BEDMAS also will come into play with some of those - if you aren’t math savvy focus there first!

I would also make sure you get really good at the spacial awareness stuff (unfolded shapes etc…) as there were a lot of more complex ones then what is on the practice versions and even available in the CFAT test apps. Get dialled in on those and you will be fine.

Word association portion was not as bad, a lot of complex synonyms, you will be fine if you are a native English speaker and scored fairly well in grade 10-12 English.

Goodluck to those of you chasing your dreams, do not stress about it either, everyone is friendly, and remember - they want you to join and will make sure they help as much as they can before hand. Call and ask questions, my recruiters were very willing to help and emphasized to ask questions BEFORE you get there and through the whole process!
