What GPU for my needs yo?!?!

Yo yo yo! Alright anyways. I’m building a PC for my neighbor (eventually) and we’re looking for a good price to performance ratio and don’t care for aesthetics much. My main question is what GPU would be suitable for 1080p gaming at 144hz games ranging from terraria to warzone.
