New build, 1TB hard drive isn’t being detected

Total noob, just built my first PC. Everything is running fine, the SSD is detected and working fine, but BIOS/windows isn’t detecting my hard drive. I checked cable connections, and also checked that it is spinning. Tried updating drivers, and also tried to “enable” it in BIOS, but it didn’t seem like that was an option? I have a MSI Z390 gaming edge AC mobo if that’s any help. Only thing I can think of now that would be the problem is I have it plugged into the 2nd SATA port rather than the first, because the first was such a pain to try and plug in. Im not sure if that really matters or not? (only reason I haven’t tried switching it yet is getting my gpu screwed in was tough, trying to avoid doing that again if I can) If anyone has any advice I’d really appreciate it!
