Drug driving - Reservist - Dishonourable discharge?

So a friend of mine is in the army reserves, He has recently been banned from driving for 12 months for drug driving. He is going to speak to them about this when he is next in but is wondering if anyone knows what the outcome may be? I assume its dishonourable discharge but wondering if anyone has ever been let off / moved units / suspended etc
