Carcassonne expansion help

Not really help with the rules but more so the expansions themselves. I picked up my copy of Carcassonne the other week and it’s the one released by Rio Grande (2000). When I looked into the expansions I was disappointed to see all the ones I could find on Amazon were for the newer edition and didn’t appear to match the style of the old one I got. Does anyone have the old edition with the new expansions? Do they actually match quite well and am I just being crazy?
