Does anyone else ever feel invalidated by their friends or family?

I’m 26M and I’m blessed to have a close group of friends who are all open and supportive of me being bi.

This also extends to my family as well, who are amazing about it despite being religious.

However, when I’m romantically involved with a guy sometimes I’ll get the comment of “Oh, so you’re actually just gay….. that’s okay, you could’ve just said that from the beginning instead of hiding behind bisexuality”

Likewise the inverse can happen where if I have a romantic partner who is a woman I can get hit with comments of “So, the bi experimentation is over and you’re just straight?”

My point being, regardless of who I am dating or interested in, there’s always someone who is just disregarding the fact that I’m bisexual and invalidating who I actually am.

Be interested to hear if other people have had similar experiences.
