Experiences with Progestin only pills or Slynd?

Due to Migraines with Aura I have to make the switch to Progestin only pills. What has been your experience with these, whether positive or negative? Is anyone using Slynd and having good experiences with that?

Edit: I want to give sincere thanks to all of you for providing such great insight and knowledge on this, this helps tremendously!

Update: I wanted to provide some insight as I have now been on Slynd for 3 months. Overall, it’s been a good experience, so far. My migraines have significantly gone down to about 1 per month. However, I did have some mild headaches in the beginning. I still have issues with eye floaters/occasional blurry vision I believe were tied to the migraines. Otherwise, the only negative side effects I’ve had were irregular periods and bloating. First one was 9 days, saw nothing for 3 weeks, then the second one lasted for 16 days. I haven’t had that issue with bleeding since. The good would be no weight gain, no hormonal acne, zero cramping, my energy levels are high, no mood swings, libido is still great. Also, Slynd is covered by my insurance.

I do want to emphasize that birth control reacts differently with all women, and this is meant to shed light on my current experience to better inform others on their decision making in what’s best for them. I know Slynd hasn’t been great to all of you (and thank you again for sharing all your experiences) and believe me, I feel some frustration myself when I realize my options are so limited at this point as I’ve tried/been on most all types of birth control. Please reach out if you have any questions/updates as I continue with Slynd!

Update 2: this will be my final update on Slynd, I’ve been taking it with no breaks for 4 months now and a total of 7 months. That seems to have been the best method for me, I take it the exact same time everyday. No side effects, no period (since my continual usage), and I have lost weight. Not sure if this would cause issue long term but I’m finally happy with it and will continue my usage of Slynd until next spring (family planning reasons). Please let me know if anyone has questions, it helped me to wait it out those first few months!
