Electronic Lab Notebooks - how big is the benefit?

Hey all,

I'm curious if any of you have used ELNs or use ELNs currently. Do you think they're a big step up from paper based notes and data entries in Excel?

Are there things about your current lab note infrastructure that maybe hold you back? Or things you wish could be improved?
