Can I use 8 wireless controllers?

I'm planning to make a batocera mini pc in the near future, and I really want to play 8 player Saturn Bomberman. Is it possible to hook up 8 wireless controllers to one machine? If so, how? Bluetooth? Multiple 2.4 ghz dongles, maybe on a usb hub?
