Best grippy sandals for wet conditions, with minimalist straps (UK)?

I live in sandals for as long as the tempremental UK weather allows (usually slightly longer than everyone around me thinks isn't weird...).

Various things (dypraxia, bad back, old wrist fracture, blah) mean that I am very cautious about slipping or falling. As a lot of my time is spent in urban enviroments, and hey its the UK so at any given point it might chuck it down, wet pavements, worn stone, and treacherous shop floors are a nightmare. Then of course I tense up and mess my back up even more. Sigh.

I'd prefer sandals with more minimal straps than the 'traditional' hiking sandal you used to get. I have some wonderful but ancient Merrells and something else which aren't exactly pretty but dont look too out there with a dress. However, they need replacing and, after nearly going arse over tit in Malta on some terrifyingly smooth pavements this year, I want the grippiest bastards on the face of the earth.

I've been looking at Bedrock's Cairn Evo Pro, which have the Vibram Megagrip sole. They look pretty good, but does anyone have experience of them, or suggestions of something they've used and would trust in slippery conditions please?
