Purchasing GPUs on launch day in Canada, Vancouver area

Hey everyone,
I just recently built my PC and I ended up skipping on buying an RTX 4070 Ti Super, just so I could buy a new RTX 5080. Has anyone had experience buying GPUs on launch day?
Which websites would possibly have the products and if you were unlucky, how long did you have to wait to get one after their initial launch (e.g. previous RTX 4080/4090s)?
Also were you able to purchase any from the US sites by any chance?

I'd greatly appreciate any thoughts and advice!
