Lore Questions

I'm very new to the lore, and after watching recaps of PoE, I have some questions:

• Eothas's godlike mentioned a certain vanishing of Godlikes. What kind of event was this? Was this explained before Avowed?
• Do people know the Wheel was decimated by Eothas? As far as I can tell from the beginning of the game, most people assume he just died in the Deadfire region?
• What was the purpose of the Watcher? He failed to stop Eothas, yet he somehow fullfilled his destiny according to him? By doing what exactly?
• So the entire secret of the first game is that the gods were created by the mortals before the current inhabitants of Eora right? Are these the "Godless" people/ruins we encounter?
• What exactly is the lore between the hatred between certain gods? Someone mention someone burned one, another killed one because of knowledge retainment? And the Fire God killed Eothas before for trying to break the cycle of reincarnation before? Is that right?
• So does PoE I and II basically admit Animancy is the way forward, since it pretty much gave the "Godless" people their empire?

Sorry if its many questions, I'm just trying to get the hang of the lore. Its a bit much and not incredibly well explained in Avowed imo.
