My grandfather had a very long carrier flying fighters in the RCAF, what does this removable switch go to/do
He flew the Harvard, T33s, CL-13 Saber, and the CF-101Bs, with a handful of flight hours in American F4 phantoms and Delta Darts while stationed in Montana.
I'm not exactly sure what this is but I can tell from the worn black crackle finish that it's likely from one of his aircraft and saw frequent use
I figure it's likely it belonged to a Saber as he was one of the Pilots responsible for ferrying them back to England for scrapping after 2 F wing in France closed down and that's most likely when he would have been able to picket a souvenir like this.
