Books being re-recorded

A series I own on audible is getting re-recorded with a new narrator. I was curious if anyone has experienced this before and if this means my books will be automatically updated with the new narrator or if I will keep the one with the previous narrator and the new narrator will be an option to purchase? Or does it just depend on licensing, contracts, etc.?
