Are there realistic designs for arcologies?
I was a big fan of SimCity 2000, where one of the coolest aspects of the game was the ability to construct towering, self-contained communities called arcologies. They were expensive to build and some were dystopian, but the idea of mass housing and communities was fascinating.
Are there architectural designs for arcologies that this community knows of - even ones that could have realistically be built? And what are your favorite examples, if so?
