Is this possible to deselect some of the selected villagers?

Hello,

I have not played aoe4 in quite some time, and I know that it was not possible to deselect for example 2 villagers from a selection of 10 (like it is possible in for example Starcraft 2 or aoe2).

Has anything been changed or is there any mod to now accomplish this?

Edit: I mean from the control panel at the bottom of the screen.
