moving feet

hi,

i'm trying to sculpt some boots and have run into the issue of the feet are very close together and hard to sculpt around - does anyone know of a way to move or disappear one foot temporarily - ik i can like highlight and use a move tool but i'm worried it wont go back into the correct place and be wonky - tyy
