I prefer 3D animation. here is why... also share your opinions!
First. I REALLY like REALLY don't know how to draw. currently depending on Ai to just show me a close shape of the characters I want. I never understanded the idea of keyframing and whenever I try my 2D animations always look like it has a stroke. so after a time when Murder drones exploded the indie animations community I decided to look how it was made.. I saw maya and blender.. and.. unreal engine? [Yeah this is not just for games.] ... Everything was easier. the idea of making and perfecting one model then I can just move its legs and tada I made a whole other pose instead of spending hours on 2D trying to perfect the keyframing poses.
1 - i can use one model and always Edit it a bit and make different characters with different camera angles and Different poses.. I found that MUCH less time consuming.
2 - post production Is kinda easier.. when we mention UE5. niagra and environment making in it really makes everything easier imo.
3 - free objects I can use in market for details in the animation..
But. The only problem with it is style. its harder than 2D to make a good human style compared to stuff like Glitchtale for example... it's either I see gacha Models like genshin impact or literally meta humans like The last of us and cyberpunk.. Something in between is hard ro achieve. and Also the modeling process. its hard but once finished It becomes easier.
