PSA: Don’t just bring your Amex to Europe

Sounds obvious and not my first rodeo, but a PSA to all new Amex folks. Make sure to bring visa and MC as Amex is not a card that is widely accepted. Especially at the Christmas markets, small restaurants or small stores.

A good workaround is Apple Pay that happen to work sometimes or prepaying for tickets/passes online using PayPal or Amex.

Bring cash only for the restrooms and for emergencies but so far, as usual, I haven’t used one single cash dollar
